About Wild Wood Anemone

White 1” flowers wave in spring breezes on slender stems, then disappear after blooming to return next spring.

The species name, quinquefolia, means that the leaf has five parts, but actually each toothed leaf has two to five lobes or leaflets. A single plant may take five years or more to bloom, but it's worth the wait.
