About Naone Gialle

84 days. The Italian common name, Naone Gialle, is quite similar to an Italian common name for rutabaga, Navone Giallo (a rutabaga is a hybrid between a cabbage and a turnip), but this is said to be a different member of the large and varied cabbage family.

About Cabbage Turnip

Grown for its large rounded root, this ancient vegetable has been cultivated in Italy for 2,000 years. The root looks gnarly on the outside, but when sliced, the inside is tender and white with a sweet mild taste similar to kohlrabi. Delicious eaten raw or cooked. Give it plenty of space so the roots can grow.
