Tiny purple flowers with lavender bracts in 2” spikes. Bushy gray-green leaves with edges that are scalloped with little rounded teeth. Good for shaping into topiary. Tolerates more humidity than most.

Upright spikes of larger flowers with “ears” (bracts) rebloom into fall with regular deadheading. Dries beautifully for potpourri. A non-hardy perennial from southern Europe, but can be over-wintered indoors or treated as an annual. Heat- and drought-tolerant. Deer- and rabbit-resistant.
