About Dyer's Coreopsis

Yellow 2" flowers with red or burgundy centers June–August. Dye color depends on which parts you use. Also known as plains coreopsis, golden tickseed, and calliopsis.

Native to the Great Plains, but not considered a Minnesota native by the DNR. Flowers may be almost completely maroon and height may reach 48". Good as a cut flower and harvesting encourages blooming. Dye colors may range from yellows and greens to rusts and browns, as many parts can be used.
