About Persimmon, Asian

Bell-shaped white flowers in spring, with tomato-like orange fruit in fall. Eaten crisp or soft, sweet with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. Compact tree native to China. Not hardy in Minnesota, but does well in pots. Self-fruitful. Over-winter as you would a fig. Also known as Matsumoto Wase Fuyu.
