60 days. Thin-skinned, crisp 6–8” cucumber. Durable slicer. Notable disease resistance to powdery mildew, papaya ring spot virus, watermelon mosaic virus, zucchini yellow mosaic virus, plus high tolerance to angular leaf spot.
In 1931, Hanka Lazarson began breeding what became the popular Beit Alpha cucumber at the Beit Alpha kibbutz in Israel. This cucumber produces high yields of consistently sized fruits that are crunchy and juicy, with a smooth, spineless skin. Beit Alpha is used in many cucumber strains, both hybrid and open-pollinated. This cucumber is an open-pollinated variety developed by Cornell University using the Beit Alpha cucumber that was developed in the Middle East.
